Autodesk E-Commerce Database Design: SQL & Business Reporting

I completed a database design project focused on improving data consistency, scalability, and reporting accessibility for Autodesk’s e-commerce operations. The project was based on a real-world business case involving digital sales, customer accounts, subscriptions, software products, transactions, pricing, usage records, and support tickets.

I designed and refined an EER diagram and relational schema that mapped 26 entities and 31 relationships across Autodesk’s e-commerce workflow. I also developed SQL queries to analyze paid transactions, checkout behavior, customer risk signals, post-purchase engagement, and support-related issues. These queries translated operational business questions into structured reporting outputs that could support decision-making across sales, support, and digital operations.

This project strengthened my SQL, relational database design, normalization, and business reporting skills. It also helped me understand how well-designed data systems can improve visibility, reduce redundancy, and support analytics across high-volume transaction environments.
